What is dimple plasty?
Dimple, which is also called "dimple plastic" in medical terms, is a type of cosmetic surgery that is created to create a dimple in the cheek area and stretch the skin when smiling.

Steps of dimple plastic surgery
This type of operation does not require anesthesia due to its ease and fewer procedures compared to similar surgeries and is performed on an outpatient basis.

This surgery can even be performed in a place other than a hospital, such as a specialized and well-equipped office.

At the beginning of the operation, to prevent possible pain, some local anesthesia is used, which can be of different materials, (but lidocaine is usually used for such local anesthesia) and on average up to 15 The next minute, when the anesthesia is completely felt, the surgery continues.

Then the surgeon removes a small amount of fat from the skin of the area to be operated by creating a gap with a sampler.

Normally, the desired area and point, agreed upon by the surgeon and the patient before the surgery, will be 2-3 mm on the face with a predetermined distance from the mouth side.

Then, from the specified point, a stitch will be applied from one side to the other side of the cheek muscle, to balance and create a moving muscle on the cheek to have a permanent effect.

Tips to speed up recovery after dimple plastic surgery
After surgery, you will go through the recovery process quickly, but following the following points are recommended to speed up this recovery and observe the necessary things:

Avoid eating and drinking for a few hours after the operation, and after a few hours, start eating by eating soft foods.
Do not smile or laugh loudly for two days after the operation so that the sutures are completely placed in the muscles.
Arrange an appointment with your surgeon to check the healing process as much as possible and to place the stitches in the right vein in the facial muscles.
The use of standard mouthwashes should be done regularly after eating and different meals for a few days after surgery.
If you develop or feel any pain after surgery, always ask your doctor to prescribe painkillers to relieve your pain.
