Dr. Massaeli Maryam
Emergency Medicine Specialists
Maryam Massaeli is an Emergency Medicine Specialist with 11 years of medical experience. She is board certified as an Emergency Medicine Specialist since September 2014 and is a member of the Islamic Republic of Iran Medical Council since 2011. She is actively involved in the Iranian Society of Emergency Medicine since 2014. Throughout her career, Dr. Massaeli has held various leadership roles, including serving as the Head of the Emergency Medicine Department at AJA University of Medical Sciences in Tehran from 2016 to 2020 and as the Chair of the Emergency Department at Besot Hospital (Medical & Educational Center) in Tehran from 2017 to 2019. She has been a Faculty Member of AJA University of Medical Sciences from 2014 to 2021 and has also served as the Disaster Committee Director at Besot Hospital from 2016 to 2021.
Dr. Massaeli has extensive experience as an Emergency Medicine Attending Physician at different hospitals, including Besot Hospital, Imam Hossein Hospital (Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences), Sasan Hospital, and Chamran Hospital, all in Tehran. She has treated and stabilized critically ill patients of all age groups, diagnosed and treated non-critical ill patients, and managed trauma cases. Additionally, she conducted over 5000 virtual urgent care visits last year.
As an academic, Dr. Massaeli has mentored and supervised numerous Emergency Medicine Residents and Undergraduate Medical Students. She has also made significant contributions to research in her field, with over 20 published journal articles.
Dr. Massaeli completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at AJA University of Medical Sciences in Tehran from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, she obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from AJA University of Medical Sciences in Tehran from 2004 to 2011.
