Dr. Fahimi Mahdi

Traditional Medicine

Since 1992, Dr. Fahimi embarked on a remarkable journey into the realm of Iranian medicine, making his mark as a revered authority in the field. In 2007, he founded and presided over the International Institute of Traditional Islamic Iranian Medicine, showcasing his commitment to preserving and globalizing this age-old practice.

He has donned many hats over the decades. Notably, he became the first expert on medicinal plants and traditional medicine to grace the national media. From 1992 to 1997, he played a pivotal role in the first clinic of traditional Islamic medicine at Loghman Hospital. This dedication continued with his work addressing addiction from 1998 to 2008.

Dr. Fahimi's passion for education and outreach is evident. He served as the Secretary and organizer for the inaugural Persian Medicine conference in 2011, held in collaboration with Darul Hekmeh Institute of Canada. Furthermore, his leadership roles include directing traditional medicine's internal management and international affairs at the University of Tehran's Jahad Daneshgahi, leading the Department of Traditional Medicine at both the University of Science and Culture and the Darul Hekmeh Institute in Canada.

His efforts have transcended academic settings. Dr. Fahimi pioneered the first festival celebrating healthy nutrition and Iranian food, introducing 365 diverse food types in partnership with Isfahan Municipality. His entrepreneurial spirit led to the establishment of the Rahpooyan Vesal Traditional Medicine Clinic in Shiraz and the design of traditional medicine service centers across provinces.

Research has always been close to Dr. Fahimi's heart. His contributions to herbal supplements manufacturing have been significant. This research acumen led him to formulate the ICU solution, for which he has obtained the medical ethics code and is in the process of licensing.

Among his many accolades, Dr. Fahimi was selected at the top brand festival for his contributions to healthy food in 2015 and was honored as a top entrepreneur in 2018. His global vision also secured a UN advisory status for Iranian traditional medicine.

His memberships and affiliations are extensive, ranging from the Iranian Scientific Association of Traditional Medicine, the Elite Scientific Association of Iranian Medicinal Plants, the Iranian Cupping Research Institute, and many more. Dr. Fahimi's impact extends to policy-making as the High Advisor to the Faction of Traditional Medicine and Medicinal Plants of the Islamic Consultative Assembly.

In essence, Dr. Fahimi's career is a testament to his unwavering dedication to Iranian traditional medicine, education, and global outreach.
